By Donna L. Stuart
Even though this food seems pricey, it is worth it. It last along time because you are just feeding the birds instead of the squirrels. I like that it is made in the USA & Manufactured in my home town. My whole family uses the Cole's products and it does make a difference. I get more different types of birds to my feeders. My birds love the hot meats, I also get them the cardinal mix that has the saflower mixed with the hot meats, I buy them the blazing blend and I buy the millet from Cole's as well. I like that the millet it is cheap and it comes in a big bag and last forever. The morning doves and alot of other birds like the millet.

The food is a little pricey, but I now have nothing on my feeder except songbirds. I bought a feeder with spring action perches, which close the feeder when anything except birds 2 ounces and smaller feed from it, and a combination of the feeder and these seeds have continued to attract goldfinches, house finches, song sparrows, chickadees and cardinals, while keeping the blackbirds, starlings and squirrels away. I will buy these seeds exclusively from now on. And by the way, the squirrels and other rodents do not feed from the seeds that have fallen from the feeder to the ground - doves do!

By Sal
Great seed, the only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because it is on the expensive side. The squirrels try it once and never come back again. A wild bird feed store told me to use safflower. I tried it squirrels had a party. A friend of mine recommend Hot meats.
